Job summary

Vizient is seeking a senior software architect to design scalable, high-performance systems in Azure with an AI-centric approach. You will guide the development team, ensure best practices, CI/CD, security, and code quality while collaborating with product managers.

You will mentor engineers, drive TDD, participate in design reviews, and align engineering with business goals to deliver complex features across the stack.

Qualifications

• Experience designing multi-tier web apps using ASP.NET (MVC, Web Forms) and REST/Web API interfaces.
• Architecting and optimizing databases with SQL Server and Oracle PL/SQL for ETL tasks.
• Developing with HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/Angular in Agile/Scrum environments.
• CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, Jenkins or equivalent tools for automated deployments.
• Modernizing apps to ASP.NET Core with C#/.NET and implementing OAuth/OpenID/JWT security.
• Unit testing with xUnit/NUnit, mocking with Moq/NSubstitute and code quality analysis (SonarQube).
• Collaborating with architects, PMs and stakeholders to align technical decisions with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and design of scalable, high-performance software in Azure with AI-centric capabilities.
• Mentor engineers in decision-making, code quality, debugging, and scalability.
• Drive TDD and automated testing coverage; lead design reviews and code inspections.
• Align engineering efforts with organizational goals and customer needs; participate in sprint planning.
