Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Solution Architect with enterprise architecture expertise to design cloud-native commerce platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will own the end-to-end architecture for AI-powered commerce solutions, ensuring alignment between business goals and scalable technology.

The role leads architecture across integration, data, and application layers, collaborating with AI engineers and security architects to deliver secure, well-governed architectures aligned with Azure

Qualifications

• 10–15 years in enterprise solution architecture.
• 4–6 years designing cloud-native commerce/retail on Azure.
• Proven end-to-end architecture across integration, data, and application layers.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall solution architecture for the AI Commerce platform, aligning business requirements with a scalable, modular Azure-native design.
• Define the target-state architecture spanning Azure App Service/AKS, API Management, Azure Functions, Service Bus/Event Grid, and integration with core retail systems.
• Architect the integration layer between AI/ML services (Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Cognitive Search) and existing commerce systems, ensuring low-latency, resilient data flows.
• Establish non-functional requirements (scalability, availability, performance, disaster recovery) and design for peak-load retail scenarios.
• Lead architecture governance, producing HLD/LLD docs, ADRs, and reference architectures for reuse across client engagements.
