ARIZONA DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE AND FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS is hiring a Special Agent to investigate civil and criminal insurance and financial crimes. The role requires AZPOST certification or readiness within three years, an oral board, and a comprehensive background check including polygraph and medical/drug screening.

Qualifications

• AZPOST-certified peace officer or within 3 years of active certification.
• Must pass oral board interview, background check, polygraph, AZPOST medical and drug testing.
• Ability to travel statewide and, at times, interstate or international as needed.

Responsibilities

• Confer with prosecuting attorneys concerning investigations.
• Interview victims, witnesses, and suspects; plan case strategy.
• Prepare and serve search warrants; conduct searches; seize and secure evidence.
• Engage in undercover investigations and surveillance of case suspects.
• Prepare arrest warrants; arrest and book suspects.
• Testify in criminal, civil and administrative proceedings.
• Manage case files and evidence; prepare reports.
• Review information and documents; analyze data.
