Governors State University seeks Adjunct Faculty for its Theatre and Performance Studies program. Candidates with a Master's degree and experience in teaching are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include delivering courses across a variety of performance arts disciplines, including theatre, music, and dance.
Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term. Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $500.00 - $3,750.00 per course.
Governors State University’s College of Arts and Sciences seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach courses in our Theatre and Performance Studies program. Courses taught by adjunct faculty in this program are primarily for undergraduates. Depending on qualifications and experience, graduate teaching opportunities may be available. We are particularly interested in adjunct faculty to teach courses in a variety of areas:

At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate.
Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Theatre, Performance Studies, Dance, Music, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have experience teaching undergraduate, graduate, and/or online courses. Professional experience is also highly desired.
