Governors State University is seeking qualified Adjunct Faculty to teach in their Masters of Arts Multicategorical Special Education program. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Special Education or a related discipline, and experience with online teaching and PreK-12 students with disabilities is preferred. Responsibilities include delivering course content to graduate students and providing a comprehensive educational experience. This position offers competitive compensation based on courses taught.
Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term. Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $500.00 - $3,300.00 per course.
Governors State University’s College of Education seeks to create an available pool of Adjunct Faculty candidates to teach courses in our Masters of Arts Multicategorical Special Education program. At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not a part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate.
A Master’s degree in Special Education or a related discipline.
Online teaching experience. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to teach methods courses, have at least three years of PreK-12 classroom experience with students with disabilities, and those with experience with students having moderate-to-severe disabilities.
