MassMutual is seeking an Axis Modeling Actuary to join the Life Valuation Modeling team in New York/MA with responsibilities across valuation projections, reporting and strategic initiatives.

Role involves delivering Stat, Tax and GAAP results, and leading complex projects such as Cash Flow Testing and new product implementations, while ensuring regulatory compliance and model governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or related quantitative field.
• ASA designation and/or FSA designation preferred.
• 4+ years actuarial experience in insurance/financial services.
• 1+ years of experience with Axis.

Responsibilities

• Apply deep modeling expertise to all phases of input, processing, and output of valuation projections in Axis.
• Execute complex projects such as Cash Flow Testing, new product implementations, assumption changes and structural model updates.
• Deliver and explain Stat, Tax and GAAP financial results.
• Develop and improve control and versioning methodology in valuation models.
• Improve efficiency by collaborating with internal and external technology partners.
• Apply knowledge of life insurance products and regulations to navigate modeling complexities.
• Work with audit stakeholders to demonstrate regulatory compliance and model governance.
• Respond to stakeholder questions and unexpected results with agility under peak deadlines.
