Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an AWS Tech Lead to own the enterprise AWS platform, defining cloud standards and leading transformation initiatives. The role is hands-on, mentoring engineers and driving automation, security, and cost optimization across multi-account environments.

You will collaborate with architecture, security, and operations teams to enforce governance, build scalable Terraform-based pipelines, and establish best practices for cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS engineering and architecture experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience designing and building AWS environments from scratch, including AWS Organizations and multi-account governance.
• Strong leadership experience driving cloud platform strategy and mentoring engineering teams.
• Deep expertise with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and cloud automation.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using AWS native services and/or GitHub Actions.
• Strong understanding of AWS security, identity management, networking, compliance, and cloud governance.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
• Terraform Associate or Professional Certification
• Experience supporting regulated environments (HIPAA, PCI, SOC2, FedRAMP)
• AWS Outposts and EKS Anywhere

Job Description

We are seeking a AWS Tech Lead to serve as the technical leader and owner of the enterprise AWS platform. This individual will define cloud architecture standards, lead cloud transformation initiatives, and build secure, scalable, and automated AWS environments from the ground up. As the AWS subject matter expert, you will own platform governance, AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Landing Zone architecture, security, networking, observability, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) standards across the enterprise. You will drive platform engineering initiatives focused on automation, self-service capabilities, compliance, and cloud cost optimization while partnering closely with architecture, security, operations, and business stakeholders. This role requires a hands‑on leader who mentors engineers, conducts design reviews, establishes cloud engineering best practices, and serves as the final technical authority for AWS platform decisions.
