Job summary

OpsBrasil Serviços Cloud LTDA in the United States is seeking an experienced SQL Server migration specialist to move a large, PCI-regulated Windows Server/AD/SQL Server estate from Azure to AWS. The role focuses on high-availability, zero data loss cutovers, and complex data replication for a multi-terabyte warehouse and BI workloads.

You will design target architectures, rebuild Always On Availability Groups, orchestrate backups to S3, and ensure seamless AD synchronization with Entra ID.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on production SQL Server experience with Always On, backups, and recovery.
• Strong Windows Server administration across versions and failover clustering.
• Active Directory Domain Services design, migration, and hybrid identity with Entra ID.
• Working AWS knowledge with EC2, RDS, VPC, S3, IAM; certification within six months encouraged.
• Production-grade PowerShell automation and real-world cross-platform migrations.
• Excellent written and spoken English for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Migrate SQL Server workloads from Azure VMs to AWS with workload-appropriate targets.
• Rebuild Always On Availability Groups and replicate a custom backup-restore process.
• Redirect backups to S3 and verify end-to-end recoverability.
• Migrate AD DS on Azure VMs, including Okta and Entra ID synchronization.
• Support license portability under Software Assurance and participate in OLA reviews.
• Execute zero-data-loss cutovers in a PCI-regulated environment.
