Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior SQL Server Cloud Database Administrator and Migration Expert to lead the migration of SQL Server from on‑premises to AWS and Azure. You will install, configure, and maintain enterprise databases, design disaster recovery, and ensure security across hybrid environments.

The role requires hands‑on experience with Always‑on configurations, clusters, and scalable databases in AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

10+ years in SQL Server administration and migrations.
Experience migrating Always-on and clusters to cloud.
Public trust eligibility (US citizenship or GC).
Certified in SQL Server and AWS or Azure.
Hands-on cloud migration across AWS/Azure.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain enterprise SQL Server platforms on prem, AWS, and Azure.
Plan and execute migrations from on‑premises to AWS/Azure Cloud (IaaS and PaaS).
Design disaster recovery and high availability strategies for cloud and on‑prem environments.
Monitor performance, security, and integrity of databases; optimize queries and indexes.
Lead migration projects, coordinate with infrastructure and security teams, and mentor junior DBAs.
