Job summary

BCforward in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer focused on AWS networking, compute, and storage. You will partner with application teams to gather requirements, design and deliver scalable infrastructure, and maintain reusable Terraform modules.

This onsite role requires quick adaptation and collaboration across teams. You will build CI/CD pipelines, work with GitHub and Bitbucket, and provide architectural guidance for new capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
• Strong AWS infrastructure experience with networking, compute, and storage.

About the Role

Our team owns the AWS infrastructure that supports all lines of business across the enterprise. Application teams come to us with requests for new features or infrastructure capabilities. We partner with them to understand their requirements, develop solutions, and architect the right infrastructure.

This is a hands-on engineering and solutioning role focused on AWS networking, compute, storage, and EC2. You will also help maintain the Terraform modules that application teams consume. You should be able to acclimate quickly, work independently, and collaborate across teams to design and deliver infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with application teams to gather requirements and translate them into well-architected AWS infrastructure solutions
• Design, build, and deliver AWS infrastructure across networking, compute, and storage
• Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules for consumption by application teams
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure delivery
• Collaborate with partner engineering teams and take ownership of technical challenges
• Provide architectural guidance and solutioning for new infrastructure capabilities

Required Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of relevant infrastructure engineering experience
• AWS (must-have): strong experience with AWS infrastructure, including networking, compute, and storage. Depth in one area with working knowledge of the others is acceptable.
• Experience building and delivering reusable Terraform modules
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with GitHub and Bitbucket
• Demonstrated solutioning and architecture skills: understanding stakeholder needs, collaborating with application teams, and developing infrastructure solutions
• Ability to work independently and deliver quickly in a broad infrastructure environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GCP (a plus, but it does not substitute for AWS)
• Familiarity with Go (Golang), as many partner teams use it
• Python experience, particularly for AWS Lambda functions
