Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Security Engineer to lead incident response for AWS’s National Security program. You will work with a growing team handling log analysis, forensics, tooling, and risk assessment while coordinating across multiple teams and leadership levels.

The role requires deep information security expertise, including cryptography, network security, and security operations, with a US citizenship and TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. On-call duties are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher, or recognized security certs (GCIH/GSEC/Security+) required.
• Current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
• Knowledge across cryptography, network security, malware analysis, forensics, and incident response beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents and coordinate cross-team responses.
• Design cohesive incident responses across multiple teams.
• Develop security tooling to enable high-speed, high-scale operations.
• Communicate risk and mitigations clearly to leadership.
• Promote security best practices across the organization.
• Fulfill regular on-call responsibilities.
