Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an AWS Security Operations/Incident Response Engineer to lead security incident handling and response for our National Security program. The role combines log analysis, forensics, tooling development, and risk assessment across a security-focused team.

You must be a US citizen with TS/SCI clearance with polygraph. Experience with AWS security services is preferred and the position emphasizes high-pressure incident management and leadership across multiple

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or above.
• GCIH (GIAC Certified Incident Handler) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or Security+.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Respond to security incidents and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate cohesive responses across teams.
• Build internal security utilities and tools for high-speed operations.
• Communicate effectively to multiple audiences and sensitivity levels.
• Adopt best practices in security engineering (cryptography, network security, security operations, incident response, security intelligence).
• Fulfill regular on-call responsibilities.
