Job description

Role : AWS Principal Network Engineer

Work Location : Denver, CO (Onsite role from day-1)

Duration : 06 months

Yrs of experience : 10

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification required
• AWS Certified Advanced Network certification required
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS network environments
• 5+ years managing LAN / WAN networks (2+ years as a Network Engineer)
• Thorough knowledge of Cisco network devices, including routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless access points
• Advanced understanding of protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP
• Working knowledge of DNS, RADIUS, LDAP

Responsibilities:

1. Design, configure, and optimize AWS networking components like VPCs, subnets, route tables, and security groups
2. Implement security best practices and compliance standards within AWS infrastructure
3. Configure and manage network security groups, ACLs, and other security features
4. Develop automation scripts and templates using AWS CloudFormation or other IAC tools
5. Maintain documentation of network configurations and SOPs
6. Monitor and optimize network performance and capacity planning
7. Support and troubleshoot IP technologies, VPNs, load balancers, firewalls, and network devices

The role requires a highly skilled professional with expertise in both on-premise and cloud networks, capable of ensuring network security, performance, and scalability.
