Job summary

Clark Construction Group, LLC in McLean, VA seeks an AWS Platform Engineer to build and safeguard our cloud ecosystem. You will own end-to-end lifecycle of AWS tenant accounts, enforce security, optimize costs, and ensure observability, bridging infrastructure and development through IaC and advanced AI services like AWS Bedrock.

Qualifications

• AWS expertise across Organizations, Control Tower, and core services.
• IaC automation with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Observability through dashboards, alerts, and log aggregation.
• PagerDuty rotations and RCA leadership.
• Familiarity with LLM infrastructure and AWS Bedrock.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in CS/IT or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in systems administration.
• Strong networking and security fundamentals.
• Scripting experience: PowerShell, Bash, Python.
• Excellent troubleshooting and teamwork skills.
• Relevant certifications (AWS SysOps, CISSP, etc.) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provision AWS tenant accounts per Well-Architected Framework.
• Enforce security policies (IAM, SCPs, GuardDuty).
• Manage AWS Bedrock deployments and performance metrics.
• Establish and maintain IaC workflows (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
• Configure PagerDuty for incident response and rotations.
• Set up monitoring and logging with CloudWatch/X-Ray.
• Implement FinOps through cost tagging and budgets.
• Manage TCP/IP networking, subnets, routing, and hybrid connections.
• Provide technical mentorship and participate in on-call rotations.
• Attend maintenance windows and collaborate with security and DevOps teams.
