Job summary

The Swift Group, a Reston-based services and solutions company, seeks a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and manage cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure. You will work with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tools to enable reliable, scalable systems for mission-critical programs.

Responsibilities include container orchestration, IaC automation, Linux monitoring, and on-premise edge deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or a related field required.
• Mid-level candidates: 3-8 years of relevant experience.
• Senior-level candidates: 9-13 years of relevant experience.
• SME-level candidates: 14+ years of relevant experience.
• Must have hands-on AWS experience including EKS, EC2, EBS, S3, Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure in AWS, focusing on EKS.
• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes across environments.
• Automate provisioning with Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor Linux-based systems for availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development to improve CI/CD with Git, Flux, and Jenkins.
• Continuously improve processes for high availability and performance.
• Support on-premise edge deployments alongside cloud.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across networks, containers, and cloud services.
• Participate in Agile development and process improvements.
• Stay current with emerging DevOps technologies and orchestration strategies.
