Job summary

Deloitte GPS is seeking a Senior Engineering Management Specialist to lead cloud infrastructure in AWS GovCloud IL4 for government clients. You will partner with DevSecOps to build secure, scalable infrastructure and ensure compliance across programs.

You will monitor performance, support the November 2026 go-live readiness, and drive operational stability while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in CS, engineering, or information systems.
  • 4+ years of experience designing, provisioning, or operating cloud infrastructure in AWS.
  • Experience with regulated AWS GovCloud or similar environments.
  • Experience collaborating with DevSecOps, security, and application teams.
  • Active Secret security clearance; U.S. work authorization.
  • Willingness to travel ~10% with client work.

Work you'll do

As a Senior Engineering Management Specialist on the Government & Public Services team, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting cloud infrastructure design, provisioning, and operations in an AWS GovCloud IL4 environment
  • Partnering with DevSecOps, security, and application teams to support compliant, reliable, and scalable infrastructure deployments
  • Monitoring and maintaining infrastructure performance, availability, and operational readiness across the program environment
  • Helping prepare the infrastructure landscape to support demand before and after the November 2026 go-live
  • Contributing to infrastructure improvements that support security, compliance, and long-term operational stability

Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
  • 4+ years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure design, provisioning, or operations in Amazon Web Services environments
  • Experience supporting infrastructure in Amazon Web Services GovCloud or other regulated cloud environments
  • Experience working with DevSecOps, security, and application teams to support infrastructure deployment and operations
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
  • Experience with event monitoring and load balancing tools
  • Experience with system hardening in cloud environments

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $131,000 to $218,300.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
