Job summary

PhoenixTeam in the United States is seeking an AWS / ETL Engineer to assess, design, and build a high-volume outbound communications integration spanning Salesforce, S-Docs, AWS, and VA Notify. The role covers architecture analysis and hands-on development to deliver scalable, secure delivery of emails within the Veterans Housing Benefit program.

The position requires strong AWS integration skills, Salesforce patterns, and ability to produce clear architectural and technical documentation for

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in data engineering, systems integration, and ETL.
Hands-on AWS services: Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch.
Salesforce integration patterns, outbound/inbound callouts, S-Docs.
Familiar with VA Notify or similar notification APIs.
SQL and scripting (Python) for data processing.
Experience with CI/CD and deployment across environments.
Familiarity with federal security frameworks (FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST).

Responsibilities

Evaluate S-Docs templates for HTML/PDF generation and data dependencies.
Analyze Salesforce integration patterns for scalable email transmission to AWS.
Review AWS Lambda, queues, and monitoring for peak loads.
Document findings and risks with traceability.
Build data models, integration components, and error handling for end-to-end processing.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and deploy across environments.
Prepare runbooks and conduct handover training.
