Job description

We are seeking a skilled AWS/ETL Developer to support the design and development of ETL pipelines for a DB2-based data warehouse, enabling robust Cognos reporting capabilities. This role is ideal for a data engineer with strong AWS experience and a passion for building scalable, high-performance data solutions in a collaborative environment.
*Key Responsibilities: *

* Design, develop, and maintain ETL jobs to ingest, transform, and load data into a DB2 data warehouse.
* Leverage AWS services (S3, EC2, RDS, Redshift, Lambda, Step Functions) to optimize data workflows.
* Collaborate with business intelligence teams to gather requirements and structure data for IBM Cognos Analytics.
* Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies for DB2.
* Ensure data integrity, quality, and performance tuning of ETL processes.
* Manage data migration and integration between cloud and on-prem DB2 systems.
* Automate data workflows using Python, Shell scripting, and AWS tools.
* Monitor and troubleshoot ETL pipelines for performance and reliability.
* Implement security, compliance, and data governance best practices.
*Required Qualifications*

* 5+ years of experience in ETL development, data engineering, and data warehousing.
* Strong hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, RDS, Redshift, etc.).
* Expertise in DB2 development, including SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
* Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting for automation.
* Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics and understanding of reporting structures.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
*Preferred Qualifications*

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
* Experience in Medicaid or Healthcare Plan environments.
* Knowledge of DB2 on AWS Cloud.
* AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
*Pay and Benefits*
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
