Job summary

Peregrine Advisors is seeking engineers to build and operate secure delivery pipelines for federal systems. You will implement CI/CD pipelines, containerize services, and write infrastructure-as-code for scalable environments on AWS while ensuring automated security checks and observability.

You will contribute to a shift-left security culture, automate repetitive tasks, and learn across tools, technologies, and client needs in a hybrid Washington, DC area setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of software development, platform, or operations engineering experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Scripting ability (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts with hands-on experience in at least one pipeline tool.
• Familiarity with cloud services on AWS and with containerization.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation or Terraform).
• Basic proficiency in writing, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate CI/CD pipelines with automated health checks and rollback.
• Write infrastructure-as-code on AWS using templates.
• Containerize services and maintain patched, lean images.
• Integrate monitoring, logging, and vulnerability scanning for observability and security.
• Help assemble security evidence for Authority to Operate (ATO).
• Develop automation to reduce manual tasks and increase auditability.
