Job summary

Lorien in Houston, TX is seeking a W2-only AWS DevOps Engineer for a contract-to-hire role. Local candidates only. You will drive end-to-end infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and automation across cloud, containerization, and IaC.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in DevOps, hands-on AWS/Azure/GCP, ECS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD toolchains, with a track record of scalable, secure deployments and a strong scripting background.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles.
• Proven track record of implementing DevOps practices in complex environments.
• Experience with scalable, secure, and reliable deployments.
• Cloud platforms: AWS/Azure/GCP with hands-on ECS, API Gateway, ActiveMQ, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and CloudFormation.
• CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, TeamCity, Harness, GitHub Actions.
• IaC: Terraform, Ansible, AWS CloudFormation.
• Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Monitoring: DynaTrace, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK or Splunk.

• Proven track record of successfully implementing DevOps practices in complex environments
• Experience with scalable, secure, and reliable application deployments
• Cloud Platforms: Proficiency in working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with hands‑on experience in services like ECS and its required services for microservice deployments, Api-gateway, Active-MQ, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation
• CI/CD Tools: Extensive experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, TeamCity, Harness, and GitHub Actions
