Purpose of the Position:

The AWS Data Architect IV will provide technology architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for projects, oversee development and implementation, and offer technical leadership to data development teams by identifying optimal architectural solutions. Success requires deep expertise in design and architecture. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, management, and stakeholders to align architecture and recommend solutions that meet business and technology needs. The work is highly independent, and you may assume a team lead role. You will serve as a specialist on complex technical and business matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall architecture and design of team-delivered solutions.
• Formulate target state architecture and roadmaps.
• Lead a team, providing technical oversight, guidance, and review of deliverables.
• Embrace and incubate emerging technologies and open-source products across platforms.
• Bring innovative ideas to modernize existing tech stacks and data platforms.
• Advance enterprise information data and integration architecture strategies.
• Partner with architects, product owners, data professionals, and engineers to implement new applications.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions within Agile teams.
• Lead deployment of applications into AWS environments and provide operational support.
• Conduct design and code reviews to ensure standards compliance.
• Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
• Stay current with technology trends and tools in Big Data.
• Attend in-person and travel as required.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or four years of relevant experience.
• 7+ years of experience as an AWS Data Architect, including:
• Data warehouse, ETL, and BI projects.
• Big Data, data streaming, and cloud platforms.
• Data Lake, Data Warehousing, and Data Analytics tools.
• Experience with AWS microservices, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and related services.
• Solution architecture and design on AWS platforms.
• At least two end-to-end Data Warehouse implementations on Amazon cloud.
• Work authorization in the U.S. without future sponsorship needs.

Preferred:

• Proven success in architecting and deploying AWS solutions.
• Hands-on experience with AWS storage, processing, and analysis services.
