Job summary

Triad Metals in Columbia City, IN is seeking Welders to join our team. You will fabricate and repair metal using welding techniques, interpret blueprints, and perform material handling with cranes and forklifts as needed.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or equivalent, 1+ year welding experience, and AWS D1.5 certification. We value teamwork, safety, and the ability to cross-train on equipment while supporting a growing metal distribution operation.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of welding related experience.
• AWS D1.5 certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Join, fabricate, and repair metal using appropriate welding techniques and equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings to determine welding processes.
• Material handling using overhead crane and forklift with training; cross-training on other equipment is a plus.
• Position, align, fit and weld parts following blueprints and layout specifications.
• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications and ensure structural soundness.
• Inspect dimensional product using standard measuring equipment.
• Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment.
• Follow safety and operating instructions.
