Job summary

Peraton is seeking an AWS Cloud Migration Engineer to migrate critical data flows into secure, scalable AWS environments for a federal financial customer. You will work on modern cloud architecture, integrating file transfer/MQ tools and building infrastructure as code with Python, Ansible, and AWS CDK/CloudFormation.

Expect DevOps-driven CI/CD workflows and close collaboration with stakeholders. The role requires strong AWS expertise, container tech knowledge, and eligibility for agency

Qualifications

• Education/experience combinations: Master's 3+ yrs, Bachelor's 5 yrs, Associate 7 yrs, or HS with 9 yrs.
• Strong AWS cloud engineering experience with EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SNS, SQS, Glue, EKS/ECS.
• Proficient in Python, Ansible, Bash.
• Experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience communicating with business users and stakeholders.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and maintain large complex data flows to AWS cloud environments.
• Support and integrate file transfer and MQ tools (IBM MQ, Connect:Direct) into AWS.
• Write IaC and cloud service logic using Python, Ansible, and CloudFormation or CDK.
• Develop and support infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
• Perform troubleshooting, performance tuning, and documentation of AWS environments.
• Coordinate closely with stakeholders across teams to manage integration and interface requirements.
