The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Datacenter Consolidation and Cloud Optimization (DCCO) program, providing Tier 3 support to the DHS Homeland Advanced Recognition Technology (HART) biometric system. Responsibilities include maintaining the HART infrastructure, installing and configuring system software and hardware, monitoring system performance, resolving customer tickets within JIRA, and supporting system incident troubleshooting calls. The Tier 3 team interacts closely with the government customer to achieve system objectives, provide ticket updates, and system status updates. Members are expected to be on-call approximately 4 – 6 times a year for a week at a time. This role is fully telework with core hours between 9 am – 3 pm (EST), Monday – Friday; applicants must reside and perform all work within the United States.

Responsibilities:
  1. Help develop, document, communicate, and enforce a network technology policy.
  2. Install and configure new software and hardware, including servers, network devices, and firewalls.
  3. Monitor system performance, IT operations, and storage utilization.
  4. Plan hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
  5. Manage user accounts, assets, and security permissions according to policy.
  6. Support escalated help desk requests.
  7. Perform system administrator activities.
  8. Review system logs to identify anomalies and troubleshoot issues.
  9. Identify root causes and document troubleshooting steps.
  10. Support Active Directory/LDAP, certificate services, network communications, group policy, and security compliance.
  11. Provide Tier III support for problem and incident management.
  12. Work independently and in teams to meet project objectives.
  13. Provide on-call support for approximately 4 – 6 weeks per year.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. government agency level clearance (DHS EOD required prior to start).
  • At least 5 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Experience administering Windows systems in a cloud environment.

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM field.
  • Cloud Systems Administration experience; AWS certifications a plus.
  • Experience with CyberArk system administration.
  • Expertise in RHEL, Windows, and open-source technologies.
  • Knowledge of OpenShift, Splunk, Ansible, Jenkins, JFrog, and similar tools.

Pay Range:

The salary range varies based on multiple factors. Our compensation includes benefits like healthcare, wellness, retirement, family support, education, and time off. The proposed range is $48,300 - $96,600.

Since the position can be in various locations, this is a national average.
