Job summary

SFE is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our on-site team in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on building and maintaining AWS-based infrastructure and pipelines, with emphasis on serverless services and IaC using CDK. Strong scripting with TypeScript or Node.js is preferred.

The ideal candidate will implement scalable cloud architectures, optimize CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, and collaborate across teams to ensure secure, reliable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS core services and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient in AWS CDK and IaC practices.
• Experience implementing CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or Node.js for serverless tooling.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting AWS serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, etc).
• Manage IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, S3, and networking components.
• Implement and maintain IaC with CDK.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions workflows.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting Experience of AWS Serverless services LIKE
• Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, Cognito, Service Catalog,
• IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Event Bridge, S3
• AWS Infrastructure knowledge VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, NACL, Security Group and networking etc
• Must have exp in AWS CDK.
• An understanding of writing/understanding Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CDK.
• AWS networking Understanding, of AWS load Balancer, VPC Flow Logs
• Exposure to CI/CD concepts along with GitHub Actions
