Job summary

Cognizant in Hartford, CT is seeking an AWS Cloud Architect for a full-time role based in our Hartford office. You will lead the cloud design and governance, partnering with engineering teams to implement scalable, secure cloud solutions.

You will own the AWS reference architecture, landing zones, and account structure, define guardrails, and guide adoption of cloud services across multiple platforms, including Azure, while driving cost efficiency with FinOps.

Responsibilities

• Owns the AWS and multi-cloud reference architecture, landing zones, account structure, security guardrails, and adoption strategy and guides engineering teams in building to it. Acts as design authority and senior technical advisor.
• Define cloud guardrails, landing-zone patterns, and account-provisioning policies aligned to enterprise standards. Design secure, well-architected solutions and govern public-cloud configuration and identity controls.
• Set multi-cloud architecture direction including Azure and the consolidation of IaaS compute into a cloud-focused fabric.
• Provide SME guidance on new AWS capabilities and adoption strategies.
• Review builds and automation against the architecture and approve differentiated design decisions.
• Partner with FinOps on cost-efficient architecture with savings tracked.

The salary range for this role will be between $137,000 and $ 161,000 depending on skills and qualifications of the candidate. Applications will be accepted till 10/19/2026.
