Job summary

Kundlas Consulting Group LLC is seeking a Structural Steel Inspector to support MTA/NYCT projects. You will inspect structural steel members, review drawings, and witness welding, NDT, and related testing to ensure compliance with project specs and industry standards.

Requires at least five years in structural steel inspections, AWS Welding Inspector certification, ASNT Level II/III or equivalent NDT certification, and ability to read engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in structural steel inspections.
• AWS Welding Inspector certification.
• ASNT Level II or III certification or equivalent NDT certification.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel members and welded fabrications.
• Review contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform or witness NDT using radiographic, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, or dye penetrant methods.
• Verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare inspection reports and support acceptance decisions.
• Inspect other steel materials as assigned.
