Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Indianapolis seeks an experienced DevOps/SRE engineer to own AWS infrastructure and release processes. You will manage infrastructure as code, implement improvements, and drive deployments across platforms.

You will harden security with integration of Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and IAM, monitor observability with CloudWatch and X-Ray, and continuously address findings from security scans to keep systems reliable.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in application operations, SRE, or platform engineering in a cloud-native environment (AWS preferred).
• Strong understanding of serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS/SNS, EventBridge).
• Deep knowledge of modern authentication/authorization - OAuth 2.0, JWT, PKCE, mutual TLS, API key management.
• Familiarity with OWASP, CIS Benchmarks, NIST 800-53, or SOC2 controls.

Responsibilities

• Manage DevOps for AWS; owning infrastructure code and making required changes.
• Release Management: own process and improvements, drive to success.
• Drive processes across additional platforms over time.
• Application Operations: configure AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SNS, SQS, SES, Cognito, IAM, S3, EventBridge).
• Cybersecurity: distill findings, map callouts to AWS services, create actionable items, and execute resolutions.
• Observability: maintain monitoring and alerting for AWS services and configure notifications.
