Additional Information About the Role
  • LCSW required
  • Days: 5-8 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, start times between 8 and 10 am
  • Hospital or Intimate Partner Violence experience required
Overview

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

This role provides psychosocial services to patients and families experiencing intimate partner violence. Responsibilities include individual and group counseling, linking to community resources, and advocating with a focus on cultural diversity. Collaboration with the healthcare team ensures safe, timely, and cost-effective discharge and transition planning.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess and evaluate patients' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs upon initial contact; develop safety plans for immediate discharge safety.
  2. Establish trusting relationships with clients to understand their needs, resources, perspectives, and cultural backgrounds, maintaining confidentiality.
  3. Partner with clients to enhance strategies and plans by identifying accessible resources and options.
  4. Assist clients in navigating systems and services, including accompanying them to appointments, developing life skills, and promoting financial stability.
  5. Develop and facilitate educational materials and programs for team members and the community.
Minimum Requirements

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Less than 2 years

Licenses & Certifications: RN or LCSW

Preferred Requirements

Education: Master's Degree

Experience: 2-5 years

Supervisor Experience: Not required
