The role involves helping with daily living tasks, medication administration, and transporting clients to appointments. The position includes paid training, mileage reimbursement, staff appreciation events, and eligibility for a federal student loan forgiveness program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen
• Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening
• Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including administering medication, cooking meals, personal hygiene, and transportation to medical appointments
• Assist in the implementation of individual behavioral plans; teach residents new skills and support goal achievement
• Encourage participation in community outings and recreational activities based on individual preferences and behavioral plans
• Provide conscientious reporting of health and safety concerns and maintain accurate documentation
• Contribute to delivering humane, person-centered care to adults with developmental disabilities
