Job summary

Nation's Finest in Santa Rosa, CA is seeking an Awake Night Staff to supervise clients and the facility during late evening and overnight hours. The role includes weekend shifts, awake night shifts on holidays, and reporting to the Housing Coordinator.

Responsibilities cover bed checks, wake-up calls, cleaning and paperwork, inventory, crisis response, and smooth handover to morning staff. Requires high school diploma, at least one year in social services preferred, and ability to stay awake

Qualifications

• Must be able to stay awake during late evening and overnight hours.
• Must be reliable, organized, thorough and able to follow written and oral directions.
• Must have good crisis intervention skills, and satisfactory English writing and communication skills.
• At least one year of social service experience preferred.
• Veteran status desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bed checks throughout the evening, documenting that clients are in the facility.
• Provide wake-up calls for those who have approved appointments.
• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping functions, filing, copying, organizing daily paperwork and some data entry as directed
• Complete supply inventories
• Respond to client problems that occur during the night (e.g. suicide watch)
• Ensure a smooth transition of nightly activities and incidents to the morning staff, Begin basic set-up for clients’ breakfast
• May be assigned additional duties

$17.00-$20.00 per hour to start, depending on experience and regional placement. Eligible for annual COLA based upon funding availability.
