Citi is hiring an AVP, Credit Underwriter (Internal Job Title: Underwriter - C12) in Hong Kong. The role focuses on full credit underwriting for Citi Global Wealth lending, with responsibility for analyzing collateral types such as investment portfolios, CRE, aircraft, and art collections.

Strong risk management and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will join Wealth Credit Management, contributing to risk assessment and portfolio monitoring while ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant banking experience.
• Strong analytical, financial structuring, and execution skills.
• Experience as a credit officer or underwriter.
• Strong knowledge of Citi policies and credit policies.
• Knowledge of derivatives and structured products and their impact on credit risk.
• Experience analyzing complex investment portfolios and incorporating derivative exposures into underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Perform full credit underwriting with risk-return characteristics according to Citi standards.
• Prepare Credit Applications and ensure information accuracy.
• Conduct financial analysis including cash flow modeling.
• Evaluate collateral including portfolios, CRE, aircraft, art collections, and other assets.
• Prepare and negotiate credit documentation and review facility covenants.
• Assist in Portfolio Management activities including annual reviews and covenant monitoring.
• Identify emerging credit issues and assist with remedial management.
