Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of workers’ compensation claims experience, including leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of claim handling, reserving, litigation management, and complex claim resolution.
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing claims professionals and leaders.
• Strong understanding of claim operations, performance management, and quality assurance.
• Proven ability to analyze claim and operational performance and translate findings into meaningful actions.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of workers’ compensation claims professionals.
• Provide leadership and oversight of day-to-day claim operations, including staffing and performance.
• Drive consistent execution of workers’ compensation claim practices and strategies.
• Maintain accountability for claim quality, timely investigations, compensability decisions, reserve adequacy, litigation management, and cost-effective claim resolution.
• Monitor operational and claim performance and develop strategies to address trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Promote effective inventory management and timely movement of claims toward appropriate resolution.
• Partner with Claims leadership, Technical, Quality Assurance, Legal, Underwriting, and other business partners to support organizational objectives.
• Ensure adherence to company claim standards, regulatory requirements, service expectations, and established best practices.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to improve claim processes, colleague development, customer outcomes, and operational effectiveness.
• Support broader Workers’ Compensation Claims initiatives and contribute to the development and execution of claim strategies.
