Job summary

Vantage Group Holdings Ltd. is seeking an experienced Construction SDI Assistant VP/VP to underwrite per authority and guidelines. This remote or hybrid role reports to the Head of Construction – SDI and spans the U.S. with flexible work options.

The ideal candidate brings 3–7 years in SDI underwriting or related construction risk disciplines, plus strong communication and analytics. Expect a competitive base salary with performance-based bonus potential and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• 3–7 years of relevant industry experience is required.
• Advanced knowledge of SDI Underwriting or Risk Engineering, Construction Operations, or Construction Risk Management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expert skills using Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with AI platform usage in a business setting, such as Claude or ChatGPT.
• Ability to adapt to change in a rapidly growing公司 environment.

Responsibilities

• Review submissions to ensure alignment with risk appetite and business strategy.
• Generate new business by working with brokers and prospective SDI clients.
• Be market-facing by cultivating new broker and customer relationships.
• Analyze complex risks thoroughly and effectively.
• Perform underwriting activities across underwriting transactions, service standards, and documentation.
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset by engaging internal and external contacts.
• Collaborate with internal and external contacts to meet client expectations.
• Interact directly with various business partners and internal departments.
• Meet departmental service standards for each process.
• Perform other duties and special projects with minimal supervision.

About the role

At Vantage, the Construction SDI Assistant Vice President/ Vice President is a member of our Construction team. The mission is to add creativity to tech-enabled efficiency and robust analytics to address risks others avoid. This role will be responsible for underwriting according to authority level and established guidelines. This role reports to our Head of Construction – SDI and is a remote or hybrid opportunity based in one of Vantage’s office locations. Vantage’s US colleagues can work anywhere in the United States (excluding US territories and possessions).

The base salary expectation for this role is between $220,000 and $280,000. The actual base salary and title for the selected candidate may be higher or lower, commensurate with the candidate's experience and expectations. • Demonstrate a customer service mindset by proactively engaging internal and external contacts.
• Collaborate and correspond with internal and external contacts to achieve a high level of service and meet client expectations.
• Interact directly with various business partners and internal departments.
• Meet departmental service standards in place for each process.
• Perform other duties and special projects assigned under minimal supervision.
