AmTrust E&S Insurance Services, a member of the AmTrust group, seeks an AVP, Underwriting to lead a team of underwriters for our Specialty Casualty Unit. You will oversee E&S Primary Casualty and Supported Excess products within a region, driving profitability and workflow automation while coaching staff.

The role requires 7+ years in Commercial Underwriting with E&S experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record with wholesale brokers.

Qualifications

Overview

AmTrust E&S Insurance Services, a member of the AmTrust group of companies, is searching for an experienced and knowledgeable AVP, Underwriting to manage and lead a group of underwriters and assistants for our Specialty Casualty Unit.

This individual will oversee activities of our E&S Primary Casualty and Supported Excess Products within designated region. Provides supervision for a group of underwriters who review, analyze, and price insurance coverage for commercial insureds. Analyze various rate plans utilizing claims history, risk characteristics and tailor coverage appropriately based on company guidelines. Gather competitor information, develop, and maintain relationships with wholesale brokers, and develop tools to grow department and underwriting profitability. May require a bachelor’s degree in area of specialty or requires equivalent work experience. Familiar with a variety of E&S concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Provide support and coaching to other underwriters and provide leadership for multiple products within the team.

The expected salary range for this role is $131,200-$220,000/year.
