Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an AVP of Technology Assurance to lead Internal Audit’s technology audit and assurance coverage, spanning established IT controls, cybersecurity, emerging risk assurance, and ERP program advisory.

The role requires guiding senior technology and business leadership, coordinating across multiple audit pillars, and shaping governance on AI and automation risks. Hybrid/remote work with Hartford, CT or Woonsocket, RI travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive experience in internal audit, risk, compliance, or related fields, including team leadership.
• Experience leading through Director-level people managers in complex environments.
• Ability to influence and partner across executive-level functions.
• Strong project and program management skills with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
• Experience with audit committee and senior leadership reporting.
• Strategic mindset for enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Travel - Hartford, CT / Woonsocket, RI as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set strategy and audit plan coverage for IT corporate audit and cybersecurity.
• Oversee the Executive Director in execution of IT and cyber audit plan, including controls, incident response, and regulatory reviews.
• Maintain primary Internal Audit relationship with technology leadership and report results to CAE and Audit Committee.
• Oversee Emerging Risk Assurance for AI, ML, and automation risk.
• Coordinate emerging risk coverage with established IT audit coverage for alignment.
• Provide advisory presence on ERP governance and steering forums for large-scale implementations.
• Define the boundary between advisory and downstream audit testing.
