Job summary

Fay Servicing, LLC seeks a seasoned AVP, Special Loans to lead a team handling complex and high-risk loan accounts. The role ensures ARM data accuracy, timely notices, and compliance with regulatory requirements while driving performance and risk controls across the servicing organization.

The AVP collaborates with Finance, Compliance, and Operations to optimize processes, reduce risk, and meet service levels; a strong background in mortgage servicing and team leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (or equivalent combination of years of experience with High School diploma/ GED).
• 4+ years' experience with Special Loans and 5+ years' experience in the mortgage servicing industry.
• 3+ years' experience with ARM, DSI, Step Rate, SCRA, HELOC and other unconventional loan products.
• Experience managing people and leading teams; fast-paced environment; strong project management.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the VP, Loan Administration, this position is responsible for managing a team of professionals who handle complex and high-risk special loan accounts, including those in default, modifications or those that require special handling. This role manages the verification of data and the processing of ARM (Adjustable Rate Mortgage) loans to meet service-levels at the individual, team, department and company level.

Additionally, the AVP, Special Loans, ensures that all ARM loans serviced adjust on time and accurately. This position manages the workflow, assists in verifying ARM data and ensures all ARM notices are sent correctly and timely. This role ensures adherence to regulatory and company procedures, policies and directives regarding Special Loans.

Qualifications Include

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (or equivalent combination of years of experience with High School diploma/ GED)
• 4+ years' experience with Special Loans
• 5+ years' experience in the mortgage servicing industry
• 3+ years' experience with ARM, DSI, Step Rate, SCRA, HELOC and other unconventional loan products
• Previous experience managing people/ leading teams
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience leading projects
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Power Point)
• MSP experience preferred
• Strong leadership with proven ability to foster an environment of positive employee engagement and trust

Compensation

• The hiring range for this position is between $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually
• This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
