Job description

Description

Position: AVP Production & Sourcing Operations
Department: Global Production & Sourcing
Reports To: Executive Vice President, Global Production & Sourcing
Location: New York
Direct Reports: 2

Your Role

At VS&Co, PDP is the end-to-end operating system that takes products from concept to floor set. It encompasses the processes, ways of working, technology, decision rights, performance measures, and partner integration required to create, engineer, decide, make, scale, deliver, and continuously improve product.

The AVP Production & Sourcing Operations leads enterprise-level process design, governance, transformation, and capability building across the product creation process. Working closely with Brand Operations and cross-functional leaders, the AVP establishes and evolves the common PDP operating framework while preserving flexibility for different brands, categories, product types, and levels of risk.

The AVP leads the enterprise PDP transformation portfolio sponsored by the Executive Vice President, translating business needs into improved processes, differentiated product creation pathways, and new capabilities that deliver speed. This includes dashboard creation and reporting, 3D implementation, AI-enabled design capabilities, and AI-driven trend insights. The role brings together the right partners to pilot, implement, and operationalize improvements, measure results, and address barriers to sustained adoption.

Success requires exceptional judgment, enterprise thinking, executive communication, strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence up and down the organization. The AVP anticipates needs, simplifies complexity, builds trusted relationships across cultures and functions, and ensures priorities move forward with pace, clarity, and accountability.

Your Impact
Planning, Prioritization, and Enablement
  • Lead annual and multi-year planning, priority setting, goal alignment, and portfolio management across the global organization.
  • Prepare decision briefs, recommendations, presentations, talking points, and leadership materials that translate complex business issues into concise, actionable insights.
  • Bring strong visioning and a future-focused mindset, anticipating how customer expectations, business models, technology, and partner capabilities will reshape product creation and translating that foresight into a clear, actionable direction.
  • Help focus leadership time and resources on the opportunities and risks with the greatest enterprise and business impact.
Enterprise PDP Operating Model and Governance
  • Design and evolve the enterprise PDP operating model, including differentiated product creation pathways, milestone and evidence standards, governance forums, decision rights, escalation routes, and integration points with planning and delivery processes.
  • Establish clear requirements for enterprise PDP decisions, including supporting evidence, accountable leaders, decision materials, and follow-through.
  • Maintain an integrated enterprise view of PDP pathways, critical initiatives, commitments, performance measures, decision dependencies, capacity constraints, and risks across functions, brands, regions, and strategic partners.
  • Identify systemic risks and cross-brand dependencies, facilitate resolution of enterprise-level trade-offs, and elevate barriers with clear recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain PDP standards, playbooks, and documented processes; scale practices that improve speed and decision quality and eliminate duplicate or non-value-added work.
  • Partner closely with Brand Operations and functional leaders to develop practical ways of working, clarify responsibilities and handoffs, and align the AVP’s team with brand needs and enterprise priorities.
Enterprise Performance and Executive Visibility
  • Build a concise executive view of PDP performance across decision velocity, product readiness, first-time-right execution, sample reduction, cost, margin, capacity, quality, delivery, speed, supplier performance, early stops before sunk cost, scaling of winning products, and transformation outcomes.
  • Lead the creation of enterprise dashboards, scorecards, risk summaries, and decision materials, integrating inputs from Brand Operations and global and regional teams to provide actionable visibility into PDP performance and improvement opportunities.
  • Identify trends, gaps, and cross-functional dependencies and convert them into recommendations
  • Ensure consistent definitions, measures, and messages across business reviews and leadership communications.
  • Coordinate executive preparation for key enterprise, brand, supplier, and milestone meetings.
  • Shape clear, consistent communications for leadership meetings, associate forums, organizational updates, and key stakeholder engagements.
  • Connect enterprise strategy with functional priorities, decisions, accountabilities, and expected outcomes.
Transformation and Continuous Improvement
  • Lead the enterprise PDP transformation portfolio sponsored by the Executive Vice President, identifying and documenting improvement opportunities across Product Development and Production and translating them into future-state processes, pilots, implementation plans, and measurable business results.
  • Integrate transformation roadmaps across the PDP operating model, differentiated creation pathways, process, data, technology, 3D, automation, artificial intelligence, partner integration, and organizational capability—using AI and emerging tools to simplify work, accelerate decisions, and unlock new ways of working across the product creation system.
  • Apply structured problem solving to ambiguous, cross-functional business challenges and mobilize the right teams to deliver solutions.
  • Monitor progress, interdependencies, expected benefits, adoption, and risks across the transformation portfolio and elevate barriers with clear choices.
  • Lead a disciplined cycle of experimentation, learning, and scaling. Partner with Brand Operations and functional teams to test new capabilities, translate successful pilots into practical ways of working, support adoption, and measure their impact on speed and business performance.
