Job summary

CAW Network USA is seeking an experienced professional to join their Product Control team as an Assistant Vice President in New York City. You will serve as a Finance and Control partner across multiple business areas, reviewing transactions, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end close.

The role requires 8+ years in financial control within financial services, strong Excel skills, and a CPA/CFA designation preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in product control, financial control, accounting, operations, or a related function within financial services.
• Strong understanding of financial products, transaction activity, and financial reporting processes.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and financial controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis, and financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key Finance and Control partner to multiple business areas within a global financial services organization.
• Review transaction activity, cash movements, and accounting entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and appropriate financial treatment.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account substantiation, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor settlement activity and related financial transactions across several business lines.
• Oversee operational accounting activities, including expense tracking, invoicing, payment processing, and cash monitoring.
• Ensure daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting is complete, accurate, and reconciled to the general ledger.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting deliverables.
• Evaluate new products and business activities to determine the appropriate accounting, valuation, and disclosure treatment.
• Analyze financial and balance sheet variances and clearly communicate findings to management.
• Collaborate with business, operations, accounting, planning, technology, and other internal teams to address issues and strengthen processes.
