Job summary

United Way of New York City (UWNYC) seeks an Associate Vice President, Organizational Operations to advance operational excellence across the organization. You will lead projects, manage key systems (FLUXX, CONCUR, Monday.com), and drive process improvements across procurement, compliance, and reporting.

The role partners with Finance, Legal, and Human Capital, overseeing governance, documentation, and system utilization to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, nonprofit management, information systems, or related field.
• Seven to ten years of progressively responsible experience in organizational operations or related area.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects and large-scale initiatives.
• Experience with procurement, vendor management, and compliance requirements.
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional operational projects from planning through implementation and evaluation.
• Develop project plans with objectives, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Establish consistent project-management practices across initiatives.
• Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies; escalate when needed.
• Lead RFP/RFA/RFQ processes and vendor coordination.
• Provide dashboards, reporting, and continuous improvement for operations.
