Job summary

The College of Southern Maryland seeks an Executive leader to serve as Associate Vice President for Operations and Planning, guiding capital planning, auxiliary services, and organizational administration. You will oversee capital projects, facilities management, and coordinated contract governance to support student success and campus operations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in a related field.
• Eight+ years of progressively responsible leadership in operations, facilities, or related areas.
• Experience managing complex budgets, contracts, and large programs.
• Experience with government agencies, public-sector organizations, or educational institutions.
• Strong leadership, communication, and consensus-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital planning and construction oversight for capital improvement and master planning.
• Provide strategic leadership for auxiliary services to enhance student and employee experience.
• Foster organizational excellence through budget, policy, and process improvements.
• Develop performance measures and reporting for executive leadership and Board of Trustees.
• Oversee mail, printing, contracts, and leases with risk management and compliance.
• Drive SOP development and cross-functional collaboration across the division.
• Represent the college in government and community relations to advance priorities.
