Qualifications

• Proven history of Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with mechanical building systems emphasis
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
• 10+ years of experience in designing mechanical systems for high performing, commercial, industrial or mission critical/data center buildings
• Experience mentoring and training others in field
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interact well with others and contribute to high quality deliverables
• Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems and codes
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and adherence to policies
• Must be flexible to a variety of schedules and able to prioritize under pressure
• Occasional travel may be required

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality deliverables for projects and proposals
• Design complex air distribution and hydronic systems
• Design Automatic building automation controls systems and specifications
• Develop drawings and specs for issuance to architects, contractors and owners
• Attend client meetings and lead discussions
• Communicate mechanical concepts to clients and stakeholders
• Direct complex mechanical engineering requirements into facility designs
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors
• Act as lead mechanical engineer on projects and direct the project team
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers
• Perform project management activities including writing proposals, budgets and client interactions
• Coordinate technical development, scheduling and issue resolution
• Survey and evaluate existing conditions
• Perform construction administration
