Southern Methodist University seeks an inventive and collaborative leader for the role of Assistant Vice President for Leadership & Involvement (AVP-LI). Reporting to the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs, the AVP-LI will guide a portfolio that includes Hunt Leadership Scholars, Principled Leadership, Parent & Family Programs, and more, shaping a vibrant student engagement strategy across campus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in higher education administration or related field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible leadership in student affairs.
• Experience leading programs in fraternity and sorority life, student activities, orientation, or related areas.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and public speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio including student engagement, leadership development, and community building.
• Collaborate with faculty and campus leaders to align programs with strategic priorities.
• Shape strategies to enhance belonging and student success across divisions.
• Oversee staff development and foster a collaborative, inclusive work culture.
