Job summary
STATE STREET CORPORATION is seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, build and evolve software for a fast-paced financial services environment in Irvine, CA. You will translate complex business needs into scalable Java/J2EE solutions, migrate legacy systems to microservices, and coordinate testing and deployments.
Ideal candidates have 7+ years in Java/J2EE, strong SQL skills, Unix prowess, and familiarity with Visual Studio, Eclipse, XML, MVC, and React JS.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on Java/J2EE experience.
- Proficient in relational databases/SQL with stored procedures.
- Experience with Unix and shell scripting.
- Experience in Visual Studio, Eclipse, XML, MVC, and React JS Frameworks.
- Experience with micro-services and component-based architectures.
- Strong coding, design & debugging skills.
- Experience in Capital Markets domain is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Designs and builds new software and features to existing software.
- Uses OOP and design patterns to create efficient, testable, maintainable code.
- Convert legacy systems into microservices or break into microservices.
- Reverse engineer and transform legacy systems into modern design.
- Understand complex end-to-end transaction processing across asset classes.
- Perform code reviews and assist with production deployments.
