Job summary

Providence’s Enterprise Information Services is seeking an AVP to lead and develop the IS organization, collaborating with executives and staff to shape strategic and tactical plans. The role manages budgets, vendor relationships and ensures daily operational readiness of the Applications Team, driving a stable user experience.

Job description

The AVP position is responsible for leading, mentoring and developing executive directors, directors, senior managers, managers as well as other staff. This position will work in close collaboration with executives, directors, managers and other leaders and staff across the system.

The AVP is responsible for helping develop the strategic plans for the IS organization and for developing and implementing the tactical plans for the Applications team. Develops, tracks and monitors the capital and operating budgets for the Applications team and their participation in projects and support. This position is responsible for leading, mentoring and developing managers and supervisors as well as maintaining the technical competency of and staff to insure the daily operational readiness of the Applications Team. The AVP is also responsible for establishing and maintaining long term vendor relationships to define and drive the application strategy and roadmap to ensure application stability and a positive user experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, Information Services, Finance, CPA (equivalent) or other studies, or equivalent education/experience.
• 10 or more years Information Services leadership experience, and 15 years total relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
• 5 years experience with Oracle Cloud ERP (Finance modules).
• 5 years experience with Oracle EPM and reporting.
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Information Service or Business Administration/Mgt or Finance
