Mid America Search is seeking an AVP, Head of Investment Surveillance in New York City. The role leads post-investment monitoring across the general account and portfolios, identifying credit deterioration, allocation drift, and valuation concerns.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or related field.
• CFA/FRM/MBA or other relevant advanced credential preferred.
• 10+ years in fixed income, credit research, investing, monitoring, or surveillance; at least 5 years in surveillance or asset management oversight.
• Strong knowledge of insurance regulatory and rating agency frameworks (RBC, BCAR, Schedule BA/D).
• Experience overseeing external managers or subadvisors in a multi-manager platform.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, Excel, Intex; SQL/Python data tools a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Build and lead an investment surveillance framework across general accounts and portfolios.
• Conduct asset- and portfolio-level surveillance across multiple asset classes.
• Evaluate issuer and borrower fundamentals, spread and rating migration, and covenant compliance.
• Oversee subadvisors and external managers; monitor performance and fee structures.
• Maintain governance standards and auditable surveillance documentation.
• Prepare data and reporting for regulators, rating agencies, auditors, and reinsurers.
