Job summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking an AVP, Hospital Operations to lead clinical, financial, and operational leadership of hospital-based departments and support services including Environmental Services, Safety, Security, Food and Nutrition.

The role ensures services meet regulatory and Joint Commission requirements while guiding planning, budgeting, contracting, and project implementation with the Executive Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Hospital Administration, Business, Public Administration or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree and highly relevant experience may substitute for a Master’s degree.
• Five (5) years of experience with the administration of Joint Commission standards.
• Experience in planning and directing administrative and fiscal services, operations and management analysis in a healthcare setting.
• Experience in the principles and practices of project management.

Responsibilities

• Leads and directs programs, services, and operations of assigned Support Services to ensure customer oriented, efficient, effective, quality and regulatory-compliant services.
• Orchestrates the planning and development of assigned Support Services long/short range goals and objectives and implements approved programs, policies and procedures.
• Provides oversight to the local Support Services to assure systems, processes and documentation are in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Serves as primary EOC point of contact during facility inspections and surveys.
• Develops, manages, and evaluates the annual operating budget for the assigned services.
• Develops and mentors direct reports to ensure effective delivery of services.
