Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center seeks an Associate Vice President for Quality & Operational Excellence to lead strategic initiatives across analytics, performance improvement and project management. You will report to the CQO and drive data-informed decisions to enhance patient care and system performance.

Responsibilities include developing metrics and dashboards, guiding cross-functional teams, and advancing Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; advanced degree preferred
• Experience in academic medical center or healthcare system is desirable
• Formal training in process improvement and data-driven decision making
• Experience with relational databases and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and coordinate Quality & Operational Excellence activities across the health system.
• Develop performance metrics, dashboards, and data reporting to support decision making.
• Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives to improve clinical and operational processes.
• Oversee budgeting, resource alignment, and project prioritization for continuous improvement.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across departments.
