Job summary

Nuveen, a TIAA company, is seeking an AVP – Privacy & Records Compliance to support Global Privacy and Global Records Management Programs. You will work with Legal, Compliance, Technology, Information Security, and business stakeholders to promote consistent program implementation and sound judgment in a role with significant independence.

The position focuses 75% on privacy and 25% on records management, coordinating DPIAs and privacy reviews for new initiatives, including AI use cases, and

Qualifications

• University degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience required; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Information Security to promote program requirements across Nuveen.

Responsibilities

• Privacy 75%: Administer day-to-day activities of the Global Privacy Program including regulatory exams, audits and remediation; oversee Privacy Leads & Privacy Partners program and training; maintain privacy governance docs; support metrics and reporting; coordinate DPIAs and privacy reviews for new initiatives including AI use cases; identify opportunities to improve governance and effectiveness; manage multiple privacy projects with independent judgment.
• Records Management 25%: Administer activities of the Global Records Management Program; coordinate retention and destruction; work with Global Records Controllers and stakeholders; maintain Records Retention Schedule and governance docs; develop reporting and metrics; support audits and regulatory examinations; drive continuous improvement of processes and governance.
