Job summary

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Data Solutions Engineering to build operational data pipelines and deliver fully documented datasets that support data integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science or Engineering.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, APIs, Cloud, data operations.
• Domain knowledge of Actuarial, Investment and Finance within Insurance/Reinsurance industry is a plus.
• Minimum seven years in a growing data engineering role, with at least five years in programming (Python) and SQL.
• Robust knowledge of data lakes, data governance and modern data quality techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.
• Strong verbal and written skills.

The Assistant Vice President, Data Solutions Engineering will be responsible for building operational data pipelines and delivering fully documented datasets that account for data integrations. This role is engaged and aligned with our business partners to understand their needs and build data engineering solutions to address these needs. The role will report to the VP, Data Solutions Engineering.

This role will be based in our Jersey City, NJ office on a hybrid basis.

What You Will Do:
